Thank You Letter

Dear  Master  Seo and Master Han.                                                                                                     April 5 , 2011

Thank you so much for being my Mentor this year. I really appreciate for your help. Thank you for taking your time and teaching me how to be good staff member. Thank you for teaching me how to start the class and do the stretch out and teach the basic Taekwondo for kids and helping them when they need help. The best thing I like about you and Master Hun is your good personalities and extreme martial art skills. I am very lucky to have masters like you and Master Hun. The best thing I learned from you and Master Hun is how to be a good staff member and my own martial art skills and how to share what I have learned from you. The best thing about my internship was to take my own class after I am done with kids.
Thank you for your all help.

MIDPOINT REFLECTION

So far the internship has been the same for me nothing is different. My internships culture is way different , its Korean culture for example everyone have to bow and say "Hi" very  loudly every time they enter the internship and you cannot cay whats up or whats good stuff like that.My new skills that I learned is how to answer the calls and how to give people information , these are the skills I can provide in my future jobs.My relationship with my mentor is pretty good but we are not friends because you cannot be friend with your Martial art master its against the rules.I have learned a lot from my mentor and now I am more mature and responsible for my jobs.My communication has improved because I've been teaching kids and speaking lot in my internship.Other skills I learned during my internship is how to teach and be a better staff member of my internship. So far I had no challenges with my internship. My schedule has effected me because I don't have enough time to do all my homework's.My two goal I wanna gain is how to start the warm up for martial art class and how to teach better like an pro instructor.I haven't learn about NY after I started my internship.

Artifactsnd

A purple belt is a high Taekwondo belt but it is lower than a black belt. There are 13 color belts and 10 black belts in martial arts and the purple belt is the 8th belt, it will take about two years to earn a purple belt and a lot of practice. To earn 13 color belts it will take about 4 years and to earn 10 black belts it will take about 55 years. You have to wear purple belt every time you're training Taekwondo.
A trophy is a award that you earn in Taekwondo by sparring or showing your skills or becoming a honor student of martial arts. Trophy can be gold or silver or bronze , gold stands for 1st place , silver stands for 2nd place and bronze stands for 3rd place. I have about 6 trophies and 6 medals.
Sparring gear is something every Taekwondo student has . Sparring gear is to protect your body from getting hurt. People in Taekwondo put sparring gear on every time they spar. Sparring gear protects head , body , shins , hands , feet  , mouth , and groins.  Without sparring gear you will get hurt really bad and could have serious injuries .

First Impression

My mentors name is Kilsu Han and he is a Taekwondo master at UnitedTKDCenter. Master Han is a very serious person about his job and he's very helpful person, he has very good personality and I'm glad that I have him as my master. The place that I'm working on is very clean place no shoes allowed and very organized and very loud too, place is covered with blue/red mat. My very first thought abut the place was normal because I've been working there before so I was very comfortable in my first day. The main job i do is help the class tech kid basic Taekwondo and forms and basic kick/punch I also answer the phones when my mentor cant answer and I do flayer work and I give Information to people that are interested in Taekwondo. The most challenging part is to keep kids on their specific spots if I don't pay attention they'll be running around and going to their parents. One skill i have learned is how to answer the calls properly without being nervous.

How many other United TKD school are there ? What is the main goal of the students that are training in United TKD Center ? Why do we yell when we exercise? When I asked Master Hun about  our school he said there are another 14 United TKD Centers in NY city . According to Master Hun the first main goal for the students is to become a Black Belt .For the next question asked  he said we yell when we kick and punch because it makes more power and faster kicks.
